Computer Aided Design
Every project at Colonial Machine begins with a preliminary group meeting in which our seven staff engineers will design a nold layout to exact customer specifications.
In Colonial's fully computer-based environment, our CAD systems produce designs that set the pace for our industry. Upon completion of a mold design, a complete dimensional check assures the highest quality manufacturing.
Computer Aided Machining
At Colonial Machine, software and hardware are continually upgraded to us at the forefront of our industry in ability to meet customers' needs.
Powerful CAM systems are directy linked to our mold design stations, for lightening-fast and complete transmission of data. We accept and convert files from virtually any CAD system, from which we generate a multitude of two- and three-dimensional toolpaths for machining applications.
This design information is then downloade3d by Direct Numerical Control (DNC) to our production floor CNC machining centers, programming the toolpaths that will create cavity and core details.
